At Shens Clinic, the Secret™ RF Duo treatment is a micro-needling radio frequency (RF) skin remodelling treatment which utilises Secret RF micro-needling technology (fractional radiofrequency waves) with Erbium glass laser to stimulate skin remodelling.
The micro-needling treatment can help to address and ameliorates common skin concerns such as acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, sagging skin and stretch marks. This treatment is ideal for individuals who are looking for scar lightening and non-surgical skin tightening treatment options with effects similar to a facelift.
Unlike existing micro-needling treatments in the market, Secret™ RF Duo utilises ultra fine and semi-insulated gold-plated micro-needles, also known as 黄金微针 (in Mandarin) and a 1540nm fractional Erbium glass laser. Hence, once the micro-needles penetrate the skin, it is able to adapt to different depths (between 0.5mm to 3.5mm) to tackle a multitude of skin concerns, even stubborn pigmentation, scars, stretch marks, pores and cellulite.
Apart from the skin, Secret™ RF Duo treatment has also shown effectiveness in hair regeneration and combating hair loss.
During the Secret™ RF Duo treatment, once the fine medical-grade needles penetrate into the skin, these microneedles would deliver precisely controlled radiofrequency pulses into the targeted area at an optimal depth. The process further triggers our natural skin healing and enhances the production of new collagen, elastin, and capillaries via the micro-wounds created. The above elements help reconstruct and rejuvenate the skin, effectively encouraging the formation of new skin cells. The result is smooth, tight, and healthy skin with a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, scars, large pores and uneven skin texture.
Combining with the rejuvenating erbium glass laser, the non-ablative laser is able to target the inner epidermis layer of the skin without damaging the superficial layer. The process is executed via grids of tiny beams that create controlled micro-injuries to the skin and further trigger skin cell renewal while old and damaged tissues are removed. Hence, the result includes the reduction of wrinkles, fine lines, scars and marks to contribute to a more youthful visage.
Unlike other existing micro-needling RF treatments, the Secret™ RF Duo treatment is gentler to the skin as it uses ultra-fine and semi-insulated gold-plated micro-needles and a non-ablative laser which does not damage the skin surface. Thus, this lowers the overall downtime to just a day or two.
After the Secret™ RF Duo treatment, you may notice mild redness, slight swelling and some pinpoint bleeding in the treatment area. However, the side effect quickly goes away within a day or two.
