Blepharoplasty refers to eyelid surgery for lifting, removing of excess fats, getting rid of eye bags and puffiness in eliminating the tired look from the face. The eyes are one of the features prominent on the face especially in conversation; keeping courteous eye contact. Hence, fresh and bright eyes, gives confidence for the speaker and the spoken to a great start up in any conversation.
Pinch Blepharoplasty is a surgery for the lower eyelid, also sometimes known as lower lid pinch surgery, to remove the wrinkles, crow’s feet and tiny crepes on the under eye.
As the name suggest, the skin under the bottom eyelashes are literally pinched using a special instrument. Afterwards, the skin is cut using fine scissors. The incision is then closed with a very thin suture that’ll eventually dissolve on its own.
The procedure is safe and performed under local anaesthesia.
It is an effective and safe procedure. Unlike chemical peel or laser treatments, pinch blepharoplasty is gentle and helps soothe the wrinkles and lines safely. *Recovery time is also short, on average of a week with gradual improvement daily and results can last up to 5 years depending on the age, health and surrounding conditions.
Pre-procedure:
Consult the cosmetic surgeon before proceeding with the procedure to get the best advice on whether to stop any form of medications and supplements before the procedure or any facial creams and serums.
During procedure:
The procedure will take approximately 45 minutes depending on the extent of the case. During which, local anesthesia is applied.
Post-procedure:
There might be minor bruising or swelling on the area, which is nothing to be alarmed about. Proper medication will be provided by the clinic for the recovery.
